The ceremony and the cocktail hour will both be outdoors. The reception will be a mix of indoors and outdoors! But, don’t you fret - there will be heaters! And if it rains, don’t worry, we are going inside!

No, there will not be.

No fear! A costume parade video is being made for you! What is a Costume Parade you ask? A Costume Parade is when cast members appear in costume, on stage, and under stage lighting, so that the costume designer and costume assistants can see how they look. At the same time, the director and lighting designer usually are present for their input as well. Stay tune for the video!

We highly encourage you to wear comfortable shoes! Most of the paths are paved, however, there is some cobblestone and in the fall, areas will likely be covered in leaves. No matter how much you love your heels, they’re rarely ideal for dancing (and did you know that your feet and knees are the first thing to go? So, you’re better off comfy! Sorry, dance teacher spiel over.) So if you plan on cutting a rug, wear flats. Better yet, bring along a back-up pair of comfortable footwear to change into during the wedding reception.

Fall is definitely our favorite season in Asheville because of the crisp, cool weather and the beautiful changing foliage. The average temperature in October is a low of 46 and a high of 70.

If you know Dakota, you know the answer is HECK YES! We do ask that if your children’s names were not on the invite you do let us know in advance.

Let’s face it, if Dakota is willing to eat it, then there is DEFINITELY food for you!

Most definitely! A selection of local beers, ciders, and wine will be available for you to party with all night long!

Dakota has made Garrett live off of an itinerary since March of 2018, so for JUST this one day, join us in an itinerary-free day and be ready to dance till you drop!

The reception will be over by 11 pm! While there is no scheduled after-party, don’t expect us to say no to keeping the party going downtown!

No! Be ready to party and get your groove thing on right after the ceremony!

Just as in the theatre, we ask that you turn off all your devices and be present with us during our ceremony! After the ceremony, please feel free to check that email, send that text, and snap all the photos you would like!

We kindly ask that you do not post any pictures on social media. Dakota is a teacher after all!
